Site Dumper Driving Tips
Site Dumper🔒
A Site dumper🔒 is a small carrier used to move dirt, aggregate and materials short distances around the site. It also goes by names like Mini Moxy🔒 and Dumpie. There are lots of types: Open-Cab with an exposed driver's seat, Closed-Cab with an enclosed one, faster wheeled models, tracked models (tracked🔒) with better grip, high-tip models that lift up high to dump, and swivel skip models that can turn left or right to dump.
Pre-start
Like any other small machine, do a prestart before you fire it up. Check the engine oil, hydraulic oil and fuel levels. On a wheeled dumper, check tyre pressure and look for damage; on a tracked one, check track tension and wear. Also look for oil leaks or anything loose on the hydraulic rams that lift the skip and on the pin joints. Only start it once you've checked the ROPS (rollover protective structure) for cracks or bends, the seatbelt works, the reversing beeper and beacon come on, and the park brake holds properly.
